National Horse Show

The

history

In 1883, the National Horse Show was founded in New York by a group of influential sportsmen at the original Madison Square Garden. In 1933, The first National Horsemanship Championship for the ASPCA Alfred B. Maclay Trophy was held. In 2011, the National Horse Show moved to the Kentucky Horse Park, and the National Horse Show began hosting the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping in 2015. In 2018, the NHS held the inaugural Hamel Family Foundation 3’3” Equitation Championship, and in 2019, went on to hold the inaugural THIS NHS Adult Equitation Championship.
