Canadian Pacific Returns as Title Sponsor of the National Horse Show for an Unprecedented Fourth Year

Lexington, KY – April 24, 2017 – The National Horse Show in Lexington, Kentucky is thrilled to welcome Canadian Pacific (CP) as the title sponsor of the CP National Horse Show for the 4th consecutive year. The 2017 CP National Horse Show returns to the Kentucky Horse Park this October 31 – November 5, 2017.

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, CP is a transcontinental railway that owns approximately 14,000 miles of track across Canada and into the United States, stretching from Montreal to Vancouver, and as far north as Edmonton. For the third year, the CP National Horse Show is one of only seven distinguished events comprising the East Coast division of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League. Riders from all over the world will compete for a chance to qualify for the 2018 Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Finals in Paris, France the following spring.

With $810,000 in prize money offered, this year’s show has been designated a CSI4* show by the FEI. The International Open Jumper division will compete for almost half a million dollars in prize money, while the top-rated hunter sections have a total purse of $195,000. Amateur-Owner and U25 Jumpers will compete for a cool $130,000 in total winnings.

Founded in New York in 1883, the National Horse Show is America’s oldest indoor horse show and is firmly established as a major fixture on the national and international sports and social event calendars. For equestrian sport fans who cannot make it to Kentucky to see the action, the CP National Horse Show will be live streamed on EQSportsNet, with the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Lexington broadcast live on FEI TV.
