Madonna Coming to 123rd National Horse Show
Wellington, FL – November 3, 2006 – There will be no shortage of festivities and celebrations at this years National Horse Show. Wednesday November 29, is the Welcome Party at International Polo Club, Thursday November 30 is the Exhibitor Party hosted by Richard Schechter at Bainbridge Farm, and Friday November 31 is Jumping Under the Stars and the after party called "Five Faces of Madonna" sponsored by PhelpsSports.com and RV Sales of Broward, held at the PhelpsSports Club.
Founded in 1883 at the original Madison Square Garden, the National Horse Show is America’s oldest indoor horse show, firmly established as a major fixture on the national and international sporting and social event calendars. The National has now become one of America’s most prestigious outdoor horse shows, held at Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, FL.
The National Horse Show Association (NHS) of America provides the opportunity for competitors throughout the United States to compete in year-end championship finals and will offer many of the top horses and riders the chance to rein supreme with national honors.
The festivities kick-off with a Welcome Party for NHS exhibitors, trainers and sponsors held at International Polo Club (IPC), November 29 from 7:00pm-8:30pm. IPC is located at 3667 120th Ave South. The party will be poolside with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The dress is “poolside casual”, and there will be valet parking. For an invitation call Elizabeth Hedley 561.793.5867. Thursday, November 30 is the date of the Exhibitors’ Party at the home of Mr. Richard Schechter of Bainbridge Farms. Bainbridge Farm is the title sponsor of the $10,000 Bainbridge Farm Adult Amateur Working Hunter division, as well as the Exhibitors’ Party held at his farm. The party will be run from 6:30pm-9:00pm at
2249 Appaloosa Trail. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served and the dress is casual. The party is by invitation only for NHS exhibitors, horse owners, horse trainers, and sponsors. For an invitation call Elizabeth Hedley 561.793.5867. RSVP is a must 561.753.3389.
Richard Schechter is CEO and President of Bainbridge Companies LLC. He is an avid equestrian himself. As owner of Bainbridge Farm, Schechter has horses that compete in the Adult Amateur Hunters, Pre-Green Hunters, and Pony Hunters.

Friday, December 1 is the pinnacle event, Jumping Under the Stars, featuring the Rolex/USEF National Jumper Championship, a Friesian demonstration, Sidesaddle Under saddle and the National Anthem sung by Maureen Hamill. The festivities begin with Opening Ceremonies at 6:30pm, and the first horse on course at 7:00pm. The dress is black tie- and dinner catered by La Peche - will be served in the Diamond Horse Shoe Club.

“Madonna” arrives at the NHS during the After Party, themed the five faces of Madonna. THE FACILITY:
The Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club is also the home of the Winter Equestrian Festival and the site of the first outdoor Nations Cup held in the United States. The competition areas include the 400’ x 400’ grass Internationale Arena, which is surrounded by bermed seating, chalets, and VIP areas; plus the Bertalan DeNemethy Arena and Grand Hunter Field, both with all weather footing. Amenities include the Diamond Horseshoe Club VIP area.
DIRECTIONS:
Approaching the show grounds from the Florida Turnpike, take Exit #93, Lake Worth Blvd., and travel west, crossing over 441. Travel five miles to South Shore Blvd., turn right on South Shore and proceed one mile to Pierson Road, then turn left at the light. Spectator Entrance is first left, on Equestrian Road. Approaching the show grounds from Interstate I-95, take Exit 49. Travel west on Forest Hill Blvd. 11 miles to South Shore Blvd. Turn left on South Shore and follow to Pierson Road. Turn right at the light on Pierson. Spectator Entrance is first left – Equestrian Road.
