The Five Faces of Madonna After Party Had Equestrians Boogying into Wee Hours at 123rd National Horse Show & Family Festival

WELLINGTON, FL – December 2, 2006 – “The Five Faces of Madonna After Party” presented by Show Circuit Magazine was hosted by PhelpsSports.com and RV Sales of Broward in the PhelpsSports Club at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, Florida, last night, December 1, following the “Jumping Under the Stars” black tie gala and the conclusion of the Rolex/USEF National Show Jumping Championship at the 123rd National Horse Show & Family Festival. Robert Dover and Kim Tudor, founders and board members of Equestrian Aid Foundation, gratefully accepted contributions to the organization from guests as they entered the Madonna After Party.

Pounding disco music instead of hooves could be heard across the darkened show grounds when the Madonna-themed bash kicked off at 9:30 pm and more than 700 guests packed the disco dance floor until far past midnight in the PhelpsSports Club (a.k.a. the Special Events Pavilion). Produced by Sutka Productions International, the Madonna After Party featured a spectacular environ fashioned after posh New York nightclubs, including lounge couches and cocktail tables and a huge oblong dance floor. Walls of the PhelpsSports Club were draped with swathes of black fabric and subtle lighting created the cavernous disco effect. Disc Jockey extraordinaire Ray Lenehan masterfully spun a mix of progressive and classic dance tunes.

Highlighting the party were five Madonna look-alikes costumed in outfits representative of her attire on recent rock and roll tours, plus a bevy of dancers garbed in Madonna tour wear, who all entertained with pole dancing antics. Taking breaks from the dance floor, partiers also enjoyed the “Madonna Museum,” which showcased Madonna artifacts including magazine covers, autographed photos, and concert souvenirs.

Two bars kept the cocktails flowing and a pack of photographers and videographers chronicling the party had horse folks feeling like rock stars and showing off their best dance moves. Attire ranged from britches to ball gowns, as most of the riders in the evening’s competition came directly from the field to enjoy the festivities.

Mason Phelps, National Horse Show Chairman, and one of the founders of the Equestrian Aid Foundation, as well as the founder of PhelpsSports.com, stepped up to one of the dance poles and used it as a mini-stage to deliver a welcome speech. Gigi Stetler of RV Sales of Broward, the co-host with PhelpsSports.com of the extravaganza, joined Phelps as he thanked her for her sponsorship of the event. Robert Dover also took his turn at the microphone to thank attendees for their support of the Equestrian Aid Foundation.

“We’re happy to provide a nightclub environment right here on the grounds, where everyone involved in the National can let their hair down, have fun dancing, and not have to travel after the show or deal with an expensive situation,” said Phelps of PhelpsSports.com. “We’re so pleased that everyone had such a good time and that we were also able to contribute to EAF!”
