Schedule Announced for the National
Horse Show Indoor Championships
New York City, NY - August 8, 2003 - The National Horse Show
Association of America (NHSAA) has announced the schedule for the 120th year of
the National Horse Show Indoor Championships in Las Vegas, NV. The show will
run from November 19 to the 23 at the Orleans Arena.
The president of the NHSAA, Alan F. Balch, said, "In Las Vegas, we are extremely
pleased to be able to announce a whole new approach to presenting variety in
equestrian sport in a spectator-oriented format. What's old is new again, and
many in this generation of equestrians have never seen a multi-breed and
discipline competition. There will be many top competitors from all over the
country appearing in the same show ring at the same great event.
"We'll have Hunters and Jumpers, with the emphasis on the best young horses and
riders in the nation, along with national finals for Adult Equitation.
International-level Dressage will be featured, with the top American riders
expected to appear in competition. Combining this with the best Purebred
Arabians and Morgans, and a touch of Western, will ensure that the event has
wide-ranging appeal. There will also be a whole new approach to Three-Gaited
show horses, with special innovative classes open to any breed or combination of
breeds, in both harness and under saddle, pleasure and performance."
A schedule of highlights for the National Horse Show Indoor Championships
follows, so horse show fans can make their plans early. Ticket order forms may

America is the National Horse Show Outdoor Championships in Wellington, FL from
