The 2004 Metropolitan National Horse Show is very pleased to be returning to the Show Piers on the
Hudson in the heart of New York City.
For those who attended the show last year you will be pleased with the many changes that are planned.
The arena size has been shortened and widened and the schooling ring layout has been changed and
enlarged. Boutiques will all be located on one side of the pier and stabling on the other side. Spectator
seating will be at each end of the arena. The Diamond Horse Shoe will consist of 27 ringside tables with
food and beverage service included and provided by Tavern on the Green. We are sure that the tables
will sell out early so we recommend that you reserve your Diamond Horse Shoe early.
The biggest change of all is the offering of over $300,000 in prize money. New this year, Open Jumper
classes will be offered with $150,000 in prize money. In addition, $50,000 in the Junior/Amateur
Owner Jumper prize money and an increase in Hunter prize money in all divisions of $40,000.
We expect that the ASPCA-Maclay Finals will be recorded by FoxSports television and aired about one
month after the show. DVD and videotapes will be available for sale.
Everyone at the Metropolitan National Horse Show looks forward to seeing you in New York for what
we expect will be a great show.
