The National Horse Show Outreach Program is designed to fund educational and development initiatives for equestrian youths. This fund is supported by tax-deductible donations specifically earmarked for our 2020 objectives:
- Leo Conroy Equitation Grant
This grant will be awarded to up to five (5) riders from each of the following: The ASPCA Maclay Finals, the Hamel Foundation NHS 3'3" Equitation Championship, and the Taylor Harris Insurance Services NHS Adult Equitation Championship. The grant will be awarded to riders who demonstrate a financial need in order to participate in their divisions at the National Horse Show. For more information on this grant and the application process, click here.
- Internship Program
The National Horse Show offers a seasonal internship program available to college students in the Fayette and Georgetown county areas. Interns gain hands-on experience in equestrian event management, sports marketing, media relations, and production logistics. To apply for our 2020 internship program, email Ariel Weisman at email@example.com.
- Junior Leadership Program
Launched in 2019, the goal of this program is to engage the junior riders competing at the National Horse Show, and provide unique opportunities for team building, personal development, education, and camaraderie. We hope to connect our juniors to foster an environment of friendship and support to build memories that will last well beyond the competition. More information available soon.
- Educational and Intercollegiate Programs
These programs are designed to support young rider education and give IHSA riders the opportunity to compete at the National Horse Show. The National Horse Show looks forward to providing readily available opportunities for education and personal growth at our 2020 event.
In conjunction with the IHSA program, the National Horse Show will be inviting 12 qualified IHSA riders to compete in the Taylor Harris Insurance Services NHS Adult Equitation Championship. More information will be available soon!
